What Sets Dr. Kouris Apart?
Exciting Transformation Process
Hinsdale Liposuction From Dr. George Kouris MD
Regardless of how faithfully we exercise or practice healthy eating habits, often there remain obstinate fatty areas that don’t respond to all our good efforts. This can leave you feeling dissatisfied and discouraged about your body shape and affect your self-esteem. You might feel you’re alone in this, but you are not. In fact, liposuction is one of the most commonly performed body sculpting procedures in the United States. Annually, hundreds of thousands of people all over the U.S. turn to liposuction to remove excess localized fat. Liposuction has helped numerous people recover their confidence.
Liposuction is used for reshaping and streamlining body regions. It removes fatty pouches, and is particularly effective on:
- The thigh areas
- Hip and buttock regions
- Abdominal and waist areas
- Upper arm
- Inner knees
- The cheek, chin and neck regions
- Calf and ankle
Today, there are a variety of body sculpting liposuction procedures available. Each has their advantages, whether you are interested in traditional liposuction or laser liposuction. Which of these options will best serve your particular needs is one of the things you’ll discuss during your consultation with Dr. Kouris.
What To Expect During The Liposuction Procedure
To begin the liposuction procedure, Dr. Kouris will make a sequence of small incisions, then prepare the region of treatment by introducing a sterile solution that minimizes discomfort and bleeding. To loosen the subcutaneous fat, the doctor will gently move a slender, hollow tube called a cannula back and forth beneath the skin. Once the area is prepared in this way, a specialized device will suction out the loose fat.
What To Expect During Recovery
A certain amount of swelling and fluid retention is perfectly normal after liposuction, and should be expected. As the swelling and retention fade, the body sculpting results will reveal your newly refreshed, sleek contours.
You should be aware that major weight gain after liposuction can defeat the purpose of your procedure. So maintain your healthy, balanced diet and engage in exercise and physical activity to ensure that your liposuction results remain permanent.
Liposuction is not an “easy fix” that replaces a healthful diet or safe weight loss program. Neither does liposuction alleviate cellulite or firm up saggy skin. However, along with liposuction, Dr. Kouris’s years of experience have made him an expert in many body sculpting procedures, including body lifts and thigh lifts. Using these techniques with or without liposuction will address conditions such as those.
In fact, combining liposuction with other cosmetic procedures for lifting and tightening underlying tissues or the removal of excess skin is done regularly. Liposuction is frequently done in combination a facelift, neck lift, breast reduction or tummy tuck, to name a few. Laser liposuction also provides a certain amount of skin tightening as well as removing fat.
